Taiwan Literature Mobile Museum” Started an Exhibition in Nanhua University
In order to push ahead the promotion of Taiwan literature, and provide students with diverse reading experience, Nanhua University especially invited the National Museum of Taiwan Literature to tour to the campus and have an exhibition; it would exhibit from September 25th to October 26th. It would lead all teachers and students in Nanhua University and local people to experience a new kind of deep literature tour, through a different kind of way to show and understand the beauty of literature, including stories, ballads, proverbs, tradition dramas and many more.
The National Museum of Taiwan Literature has a mission to promote the concept of Taiwan literature. In order to carryout regional and local service, and let more people contact with or know local literature knowledge, understand the cultural value of Taiwan literature, the National Museum of Taiwan Literature planned this “Taiwan Literature Mobile Museum,” a service of traveling exhibition. Using a container car to exhibit can break the regional limitations, and send literature resources to everywhere in Taiwan. Also, by using thematic exhibition and literature education promotion, they guide visitors from around Taiwan to the world of Taiwan literature. Meanwhile, let more people know Museum of Taiwan Literature. This exhibition started its tour from July, and stationed in Nanhua University from the 25th day of September and it would stay for a month. On that day, the academic vice president Li, Kun-Chung represented the president to host the open ceremony. The executive vice president Lin, Chen-Chang, the curator of the library Huang, Su-Hsia, and 1 level manager all attended as well. They especially invited the deputy director of National Museum of Taiwan Literature as the special guest and she gave a speech to encourage students and teachers to visit the museum. The campus is filled with a strong literature atmosphere.
Nanhua University academic vice president Li, Kun-Chung indicated that he appreciated the chance to invite “Taiwan Literature Mobile Museum” to station in very much. This can not only let all students and teachers in university know more about Taiwan literature, but also provide a chance for local residents in community to learn more about literature. Vice president Li also mentioned that in order to promote the founder Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s concept of Humanistic Buddhism of “生活書香化” and “三好四給”, they joined in the team of Cloud and Water Mobile Libraries of Fo Guang Shan. They go deep into remote areas and serve students over there to shorten the gap between rural and urban areas. According to the statistics this year till now, Cloud and Water Mobile Libraries serve 56 times, 16 places (including elementary schools and communities), and there are 6337 people visited. They got a big number of feedbacks during the time they serve. Vice president Li said that hope we can have a chance of a long-term cooperation with the National Museum of Taiwan Literature in the future, promote Taiwan literature together and improve people’s literature quality.
The executive vice president Lin, Chen-Chang points out that this exhibition combined the theme “音以律文─台灣文學聲情演繹” with actions, the way of exhibiting to promote Taiwan literature. They turn “the writing and reading of words” into “ the voicing and listening of languages” and emphasized that literature can experienced not only by reading but also by listening, and can let everyone enter the world of literature in a different way, besides normal book reading, which is really meaningful. Vice president Lin not only encourage all teachers and students in campus to use or visit it, but also welcome local people to come and visit, and listen to the basis of Taiwan literature together.
The deputy director of National Museum of Taiwan Literature indicates that this exhibition starts from myth, legend and folklore, which is the simplest and drenched in the tang of living, expanded into the listening and appreciating the beauty of mother language, and discovering reading the interests inside. Also, the charisma of literature becoming dramas and songs shows the encounter of words that have shapes and sounds that don’t. “常民之聲：口耳相傳的生命之歌,” “媽媽的話：品賞母語之美, ” “為你朗讀：聆聽作家的心聲” and “文字演歌：當文學登上舞台、化為音符” are the included content.
The oldest and the most original way of literature is folklores, legends, myths, proverbs, ballads and other vocal texts. Welcome to come to Nanhua University and visit “音以律文─台灣文學聲情演繹” during September 25th to October 26th. Through the writing of voices and the reading of ears, we enjoy the rhythmic movement of language and appreciate the beauty of literature together and improve the literacy of literature deeper and more abundant.
